Hypertherm 45-XPGuest5I called IOC on a Tuesday they said my unit wasn't in stock but they expected some 20 or so units from hypertherm by the end of the week the next day I had a unit in transit showed up to my door four days later I'm kind of far from IOC so that's actually pretty fast.
I got the unit with 25 foot cables and the computer port option and the hand and machine torches. The machine torches on the shelf right now awaiting an eventual CMC table but good grief this unit is amazing I don't think the descriptions and pictures do justice to just how small and powerful it is. my only issue is feeding it enough clean dry air; I'm currently using grade E breathable air from a scuba tank because I have a Bauer compressor available but a typical cutting job will deplete a scuba tank in just a few minutes. From reading the specifications the unit will use 400 ft.³ an hour or just about 7 cubic feet per minute . Every time you click the torch the post flow is 20 seconds which is 2 ft.³ right there. just be aware of your compress air requirements if you're going to cut a lot of material you will need much more compressor than you think and the air must be perfectly clean dry and oil less or you will destroy consumables. Just the post flow one time on this would deplete a pancake compressor of its air supply so keep that in mind . it's a fair trade off for me since I use The plasma cutter intermittently I'm not a production shop just a hobby user and I have an endless supply of breathable air.
