It is the only helmet that features an autopilot feature, that automatically adjusts the shade level as your arc intensity changes. Adaptive Shade Autopilot
The adaptive shade level control automatically adjusts to the perfect shade level. Let me say that again so it sinks in. The Optrel e684 has an autopilot feature that automatically detects the amperage settings your using and automatically adjusts the shade of the lens so you don't have to stop and manually make the adjustments. Going from grinding to MIG to TIG is no problem and no manual adjustments are needed. The optical quality on it is amazing. The fadetronic feature is incredible. Its dark when you need it and light for when you're in a tight spot and the arc isn't a great spot. I get way less eye strain compared to any other helmet.
Ergonomics are top notch. Very comfortable i can wear it all day. It's very light weight and has a very far range when you need to lift your hood up it can go over your head not hanging forward weighing on your neck. Lots of adjustability with the head gear.
I highly recommend this helmet. It's definitely a great investment!
