I just got it, I 5 I just got it, I send a review after use.
Maxstar-161S 5 Excellent machine, good for any small project or big if wish to. Work perfectly with 110V or 220V 30Amp. I love it!
Great Little Welder 5 I was looking for a good stick welder for the farm shop and bought the Miller Maxstar 161 S. It welds smooth, the screen shows the amp setting and it is easy to strike and hold a arc, even on very low amps. The small carry size was not really a factor for me in purchasing this machine since it stays in the shop most of the time.
Great information and service from 5 Great information and service from IOC. A lot of welder in a small package.
I am a 20+ year 5 I am a 20+ year union boilermaker, ran a bunch of different machines and have to say for a little one hander it just doesn’t get any better for small projects. I’ve ran 70 and 8018 with it maxed out on 90 and ran perfect! Just hope it holds up for another 20 years
I'm Impressed 5 I've been welding for 40+ years, welded with a lot of different machines, all bigger than this one. Here's my experience with this one, plugged into 110V, 3/32 7018 ran good at 90 amps with a 30% duty cycle, it would be ok for small jobs. Using 240v, I ran 1/8 7018 at 125 amps with no problem. It's a good little home machine.
Excellent seller 5 Very fast shipping
