I was looking at 3 inverter mig welding machines and bought the MillerMatic 211. I choose the Miller 211 because it’s very simple to use, turn it on and start welding. The other two machines where multi process welders with tig and stick functions. The others have so many things to customize with all the bells and whistles they are over complicated in my opinion. All I needed was a good solid mig welder.
I set up my 211 with .035 solid wire and 75/25 mix gas. This machine has a lot of top end power! It’s rated to weld 3/8 mild steel 230 volt input. It has more than enough power for that. I blows me away that its only 38lbs with this kind of power. After playing with it on 230V I plugged it into a 25ft extension cord to test it on 115 volt input power. It has more than enough power on 115v to weld 95% of anything I weld in the shop! This machine really rocks! One thing that I look for in a good mig welder is smooth clean arc starts. The 211 is silky smooth on the starts, and the welding arc is ultra smooth and very stable. I’m 45yrs old and I’ve been welding all my adult life for a living. I have welded with many mig welders over the years and this is by far the smoothest machine I’ve ever used. Miller has hit a home run with the 211! Good job guys! The guys at Welding Supplies from IOC are top notch people to deal with.

This welder works perfectly, I am not a professional welder but with this machine I definitely feel like one, also ordering from Welding supplies has been a great experience, shipment arrived timely, I had the plastic connector that brooke during shipping, I called the customer service and within 48 hours I had a new one shipped directly to my house.

no brainer. easy to use. only complaint , ground clamp is only grounded on one side and seems a bit cheap. easy fix for 10.00 bucks. always used stick never used mig. put down best welds ive ever put down right out of box. very happy with the investment.

I own a boat dock repair company where we repair aluminum all the time. I've used Lincoln, Hobart but none has even came close to the Millermatic 211. I weld 1/4" to 3/8 thick aluminum with no problem. I would highly recommend this welder to any one!

UPGRADED FROM A HOBART 190. I LIKE THE FACT THAT IT HAS CAPABILITY OF 120/240V JUST BY SWITCHING OUTLET. DUTY CYCLE IS BETTER THAN MY OLD ONE. OVERALL VERY PLEASED..

I have nothing but good things to say about this machine. When using the included mig gun, you actually have to turn the amperage down from recommend settings. This machine has a incredible arc. Powerful little machine. I have yet to hit the over temp. This will be my new go to machine. I added the spoolmate 150 for aluminum capabilities but found the twenty feet of cable easy to move around with. Now I use the two pound steel rolls in the spoolmate.

Restoring old equipment is aided by using good tools. That is why I purchased the MM 211 (inverter-style). As a novice welder this tool is forgiving and is helping me build confidence. I won’t outgrow this machine in a year, as my projects get more complex, and my skills more refined. I looked at all of the big three makes and the new, higher end discount models for hobbyists. The welder has me covered in all areas, skill increase, materials I am likely to weld and projects a hobbyist is likely to undertake. Can’t ask for more than that. The biggest problem I see with this welder is it makes everything else I have ever welded with look like a piece of junk! Wow incredibly nice welding machine! The Auto set works perfectly… truly a nice feature! I have not had this machine very long but every time I use it I walk away saying wow! I thought long and hard about buying this machine…I read the reviews …I look at all the videos… ChuckE2009 was my favorite :-) I really enjoyed his enthusiasm about this machine! Not for one second have had any regrets about the investment in this machine! Now on to the Spoolmate 150 spool gun I bought to go with it…I really struggled with this thing for about 2 hours plus! Then I decided to follow directions and calibrate it to the machine :-) Yup you guessed it went from grumble grumble to Wow just like that! I am welding Aluminum like never before! Really nice Aluminum welds with this machine! It’s really hard to find fault with a machine that works so nice! IOC has been great to deal with every step of the way! Dave

picked up a new Millermatic 211 to work along side my older 180SD for mig duty. The new 211 has a much more accurate auto set for thinner metals where the 180SD wasn't great at autoset under 1/8". Pulled it out of the box loaded .030 wire and easily did some great outside corners on 18ga in minutes. The rebate deal for 50% off any helmet was what sold me to use Welding Supplies from IOC. The Optrel Crystal 2 is absolutely amazing the clarity is so much better than my Speedglas 9100XX.

This is my first venture into aluminum mig welding. Although i have been welding for 48 years it never to late to learn something new. The setup was no problem, and the charts made getting started fairly easy. The spool gun is not to bad but obviously a big change from a stinger or wire gun. I am having a little trouble with the trigger on the spool gun sticking. Am working through that. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

First of all shipping was great(fast). The machine itself is easy to use, light to carry and quality seems good but not what i expected, but then again its a small hobbyist machine. The lenth of the gun and wires is kind of short for my liking but not much of an issue when you can easily move the machine around. Its my first mig welder so i have nothing to compare to. But it is a nice machine so far.

Great unit, we had two at work and loved it so much I bought my own. As it is a great machine don't be confused thinking because it's a 211 it won't do what my full size Miller 210 or 251 but if a 30% duty cycle works for you I'd say buy it....I did now I have 5 Miller units from my old Miller 35 an 200 up to my 251 but I gotta say I love my 200 the best.

Received welder in a reasonable time. Very well packed in box and all items included. Setup and assembly went well with one hiccup. Small spool of wire included required a washer between spool and spindle base to allow smooth rotation of wire spool. Welder works great and look forward to using it in projects in the future.
