My only complaint is that this helmet spoiled me and now using other helmets sucks. As a matter of fact the guys I work with have been playing with it and they all said the same thing. This thing had to have been designed and engineered by a welder and they thought of everything. As for weldingsuppliesfromioc.com they had the best price, checkout was quick and smooth, and shipping was fast. Oh one more issue, the helmet doesn't make cold beer, but besides that it's perfect.

Arrived 3days after purchase. exterior box was in perfect condition though interior box had a small dent, but nothing was damaged. Read the easy operating instructions and used it the next day with my miller 211, and it worked flawlessly.

My first helmet was less than $100 and you get what you pay for. It lasted for 9 months and then died. Called the manufacturer and they said, sorry, 3 month warrantee. This time I bought the Miller helmet. Much better quality lens, much larger viewing area, comfortable, easy to know if the helmet is working and you can add a magnifier lens. I am very happy with this purchase. It also has a 3 year warrantee!

The good:
The lens in amazingly clear
Love the x mode for tig
Lighter than my last helmet
Grind mode has changed my life..... I rarely take the helmet off...
The bad:
Mode button is on the inside, it would have been nice to go from grind to weld without removing a glove to press the little button.
Head gear needs alot of pressure on the nuts to keep the helmet up, worried about stripping them, as their plastic.

My last Miller Elite lasted 12 years before an unfortunate meeting with gravity and a pointed object. I'd say the newer version is better, more clarity through the lens and the fitment on my head is more comfortable. That combine with the rebate they were running made it a no brainer. Hopefully this one lasts just as long.

The features and adjustability for fit are great. With the $50 rebate its hard to beat the price for a top of the line helmet.

Good sheild, great clarity and like the x feature. Good grind and cut mode with nice controls. Head gear isn't my favorite. I also have the Viking 3350 and that head gear is more comfortable for all day. But everything else is just as good on both just wanted the x feature since I sometimes get flashed with the Viking getting into nooks or low amperage welding

This is an all around perfect welding helmet. I have had the chance to put it to comparison test with esab and a few others. It came out on top. I went for the all black instead of the design only because I put stickers on mine. Honestly there is no comparison to any other helmet on the market.

I'm a novice welder, but have both a stick and MIG welder. I bought this helmet to keep with th MIG for indoor use. This is by far the best helmet I personally have ever used. It's got a larger view area, the darkening is super responsive and the system to keep it on my head is super comfortable. I bought the pain black one to put all sorts of stickers on it and personalize it. I'd highly recommend. it.

Only reason I held back and only gave 4 stars is the head gear is a little cheap feeling. But every other aspect about this helmet is perfect. I wish I had bought this first instead of throwing away money on cheaper helmets. The visibility made my welds improve immediately.

So far this helmet has made me a better welder because I really can see more of my work. I'd give it 5 stars but it is too soon. Previous helmets failed after a year or so. My last helmet was flashing and had poor visibility. I hope that the Miller keeps working as well as it has so far.
The adjustments for the fit take some fiddling with and there was a complaint about overall construction. I don't see that. The helmet is comfortable for me and provides me with the protection I want.

After several iterations of adjusting the head piece it has worked well. The back of neck part tends to ride up and the shell hinge points could be better adjustable for tightness. Overall it is comfortable during periods of long wear. The auto darkening shield works great. This helmet replaced another brand helmet that the auto shield unit failed and could not be replaced.

I already have a Lincoln welding Viking 3350 which I like. The Miller as similar features, but it has some unique features that I wanted to explore. I am a hobby welder, just getting into welding Aluminum and want to learn about welding stainless in the future. I a a retired mechanical engineer and have projects I want to develop. I wanted a helmet that could handle the TIG process and had a quick response time for shielding, both of these helmets meet these criterion.
