Wasn't sure what I would get for 79 dollars in a auto dark,but I'm happy with what I got.Light weight.Good vision before darkening.Fast change.

I upgraded from a cheap auto darkening helmet to this Miller Classic Series Auto-darkening helmet. The lenses are much clearer and better quality than my previous cheap helmet. Combining this with a Miller cheater/magnifying lens makes for easy visualization of the weld pool, at least for MIG welding. I can't say how it will work for low amperage TIG welding, but it has no problem with higher amperage TIG/MIG. Very happy with this helmet.

Very light... seems to work well. Hard hat band works well after you get the jig saw puzzle put together. AAA battery is a great idea. Now to make this same hood with standard clear lens

This is a really nice helmet for the price range! Really good welding visibility! Now that being said when I received this helmet that came with my new welder …it wasn’t packaged well for shipping basically in pieces inside the box! All the lenses were really scratched up from the trip on UPS truck! Again really nice helmet just need better packaging for the trip on the truck. Dave

This was the same helmet used by the students at the high school where I took a beginning welding class. The helmet worked great and is perfect for home projects

It will take more than a week of use to determine if this helmet is going to last more than the 30 days or so that the last one I bought did. But it fits my head, works well, and has not frills, which is what I was looking for. Repairs on a farm.

This is a very nice helmet and came with 5 replacement lenses/shields to ensure you always have a clear view.

Obviously for the price, this welding helmet is going to be pretty basic. However, there is nothing in the description that says it takes AAA batteries and is not solar rechargeable. Most auto helmets under $100 are rechargeable! Also, when checking to see what was in it for batteries, I have spent a half an hour fighting to get the battery door back on. It pops off easily enough but won't click back on. I am afraid I am going to break something trying to do it. I am hoping this is not an indication of things to come when using this helmet. I plan to return this.

Very nice basic helmet with advanced features, I got it free when bought Miller 215, much better than HF clones.
This is my dedicated MIG helmet, I like the fit, simplicity and performance.

Never used anything like it before, never misplace the weld with it.
