What size liner do I need for .030 wire?

.030 sits at the top of LM1A-10 (.023-.030) and the bottom of LMD2A-10 (.030-.035), so either fits. Pick by your other wire: LM1A-10 if you also run .023-.025, LMD2A-10 if you also run .035.

Are MDX 100 and MDX 250 liners interchangeable?

The wire-size liners fit both guns, but the length must match. The MDX 100 uses 10 ft liners (LMxA-10); the MDX 250 uses 12 or 15 ft, so a 10 ft liner will not fit a 15 ft gun.

How often should a MIG liner be replaced?

No fixed interval, replace it when feed problems appear (erratic feed, birdnesting, burnback). For regular shop use that is often every 6 to 12 months, sooner with heavy or dirty wire. Always change it if you move to a wire size outside its range.

Can I trim an AccuLock liner?

How to Replace an AccuLock MDX Liner

AccuLock liners are front-loading and error-proof, no measuring required. To swap one out:

Remove the nozzle, contact tip, and gas diffuser from the front of the gun.
Feed the new liner in from the front until it seats and locks at the front lock.
At the back, lock the liner and trim it flush with the power pin cap.
Reinstall the diffuser, contact tip, and nozzle, and you are ready to weld.

Signs Your MIG Liner Needs Replacing

A worn or wrong-size liner shows up at the arc before anywhere else. Replace it when you see:

Erratic wire feed or chatter, the wire surges and stutters instead of feeding smoothly
Birdnesting, wire tangling and jamming up at the drive rolls
Burnback, the wire fusing back to the contact tip
