Ive actually used itWanderer5Tested the 205ic at fabtech this year when running stick with the atom arc 7018's. Very nice little machine and a great performing rod as compared to lincoln's. Tested the mig capabilities as well and was very overall pleased with the results. Im looking forward to running tig with the HF setting in the near future.

I wished I can give them also 5 stars. I bought the welder to replace my Miller Multimatic 200 and the AC TIG 250 from Longevity and I am not disappointed. It is really a nice all in one device and super easy to weld with. I waited 6 month to get this welder and of course I noticed the competitors offering similar devices but I would not switch it for an Miller or Everlast.

Finally!Mel G.5I have the emp 215, which I bought here as well when it first came out. When I saw this, I new it was what I really wanted, even though the 215 is a fine welder.
The ability to TIG weld aluminum is to me, better than using my spool gun. The other features are appreciated as well. ESAB makes fine machines.

But has plenty of adjustment on the manual adjustments all in all.. the machine is worth the money

SpiffyGregg G.5I have 5+ years of welding experience. 3 as an fancy ornamental iron guy, and 2-1/2 as a running a welding maintenance department for a small college. I run a lot of different Miller's and Lincoln's and I must say, I love the products ESAB puts out. My first ESAB purchase was a Rebel 235ic a few years back and the things that machine can do are incredible.
I bought this 205 for work with the idea that when I need to be mobile and the job calls for something above a stick weld, this is the tool for the job. I liked the option of DC TIG and having used it, those peeps at ESAB really thought out their product and made really good changes when compared to my 235. The gas flow feature in the front for TIG is sweet as are the two connections in back for differing gasses. The LED light on the inside for the wire feed is a really nice touch as are the little trays for holding certain consumables. It's nice to know that I can trust this welder to do what I need when I can't weld in the shop.

An amazing machineThomas P.5This is the first non Lincoln machine I've ever owned, I still own my original idealarc 200 Transformer machine. Coming in at 3 to 400 pounds it's not that easy to move around but to be replaced by a 49 pound machine is quite amazing and that machine does much more. I purchased it primarily for the AC TIG I'm surprised that they don't offer that feature on its bigger brothers and sisters but still I've not had a problem with power yet. The features options and flexibility are amazing I've had so much fun using this and trying to different settings, I have not been disappointed yet. The welder came packed with name-brand accessories even a foot pedal for the tig, the only thing I purchased separately that I wanted was a stubby lens kit for the tig and more TIG rod. You will not be disappointed
